Shipping & Packing

How to ship your cards to CYA Card Grading

Pack your cards the way the major grading companies require, and they'll reach us safely and get graded faster.

What you'll need

  • Clear penny sleeves

  • Semi-rigid card holders (Card Saver I or equivalent, 3 5/16" x 4 7/8")

  • Two pieces of cardboard, slightly larger than your cards

  • Rubber bands

  • Bubble wrap

  • A sturdy box and packing tape

Step by step

  1. Sleeve each card. Place every card in a clear penny sleeve. Please don't use colored or opaque sleeves, since we need to see the whole card.

  2. Put it in a semi-rigid holder. Slide each sleeved card into a semi-rigid holder. Please don't use top loaders, magnetic or screw-down cases, tape, pull tabs or sticky notes. These slow down intake and can damage cards when removed.

  3. Include your CYA numbers. Write each card's CYA number on a slip of paper and put it in the package. If you're sending more than one card, stack them in CYA-number order. Never include your tracking code; keep it private.

  4. Secure the stack. Place your cards between two pieces of cardboard and hold them with 2–3 rubber bands, snug but not tight. Bands that are too tight can bend cards.

  5. Pack the box. Wrap the bundle in bubble wrap and place it in a sturdy box so it can't shift. Please don't use envelopes or bubble mailers on their own; they don't protect against bending.

  6. Ship with tracking to:
Use the CYA Card Grading shipping address in your order confirmation email. Ship only after you've received it.

Insurance and responsibility

We strongly recommend shipping with tracking, and insuring cards of higher value. You're responsible for your cards until they arrive at CYA Card Grading. These packing steps are our recommendations to help them arrive safely.
